Funding for Community Storytelling Workshops

Good Faith Partnership are inviting proposals from local charities and community organisations to deliver Community Storytelling Workshops, a pilot programme designed to facilitate community cohesion in two contrasting neighbourhoods in Bristol.

This project emerged as the winning idea from the Bristol ‘Community Cohesion Hackathon’ held on Tuesday 21st April at Easton Community Centre. The event brought together local residents in collaborative teams to develop practical responses to community cohesion challenges. Each group presented their ideas to a panel of local experts, followed by a collective vote to select the proposal taken forward to tender.

The selected programme responds to the lack of connections some Bristolians have with their neighbours, and those very different to them (both locally and in other parts of the city) identified in Bristol City Council’s Reflections on Community Cohesion in Bristol report. Opportunities to share stories helps foster shared values and understanding.

A grant of £10,000 is available to deliver the pilot by the end of Dec 2026, kindly sponsored by the Muslim World League.

The closing date for applications is 21 June 2026.
