Bristol City Council are hosting a market engagement event for the recommissioning of our SEND Information Advice and Support Service with a view to a new contract starting in 2019. This event is an opportunity for providers to find out more about the procurement process, input into the design of the future service and network with other providers

Bristol City Council Children's Commissioning team is holding a market event for providers interested in Targeted Short Breaks. The event will:

- update providers on our current timetable for recommissioning short breaks

- provide an update on the results of our consultation

- create an opportunity for providers to network

- be a question and answer session for providers to link with children's commissioning managers and our procurement team

The Post-Retirement Opportunities (PRO) Project aims to inform people aged 55+ who are approaching retirement about the opportunities and advice available, helping them to plan for a happy, healthy and fulfilling retirement.

Funded by the Bristol and District Retirement Council, PRO is being delivered by LinkAge Network in collaboration with the Anchor Society and Business in the Community.

UWE Bristol Volunteering Fair is a great way for organisations, charities and community groups to find volunteers for their projects. Last year over 1,000 UWE Bristol students attended looking for voluntary roles.

 

UWE Bristol Volunteering Fair is also a great opportunity for networking with other organisations from Bristol and beyond - last year we had 85 stands and over 180 delegates.

Kamil Ahmad and Bijan Ebrahimi were both Disabled men who came to the UK seeking sanctuary. Both were brutally murdered inBristol.

On June 29th help us honour the memories of Kamil and Bijan and others who have been failed by the system. We are holding an event as part of Bristol Refugee Festival to:

bring together the disability and the asylum/immigration sectors

get the voices of disabled asylum seekers / refugees better heard

build awareness of policies and practices that currently divide us

challenge divisions and develop solutions

Bristol City Council Tenants Get Involved

Bristol CIty Council is launching a new way that council tenants can get involved and have their say on how Housing Services are run.

The cornerstone of this wil be six new Local Housing Forums across the city.

We are holding a free event for council tenants with refreshments on the 30th June 2018 2-4 pm (registration from 1.30pm) at City Hall to launch our new Forums.

Closing date for bookings is the 15th June and places are limited.

Come and join us for a day of fun & fundraising! All in aid of our Carers and Community Support service, which we provide to families who have relatives who have sustained a brain injury. The service is completely unfunded – please help us keep it running!
