Hartcliffe and Withywood Community Partnership (HWCP) was established in 1998 to lead the regeneration and renewal of the local area. It is a limited company, with charitable status and is run by a strong board.
HWCP manages the @symes Community Building, CATT community transport service, produces a quarterly newsletter, the Wham! and delivers the Dundry View Neighbourhood Partnership.
Hartcliffe & Withywood Ventures (HWV) is a development trust based in the Hartcliffe and Withywood area of South Bristol. The organisation owns, manages and is based at the Gatehouse Centre. Principal activities are training and development courses for employed and unemployed people from 16 - 70 years old +. HWV runs a nursery and a cafe and manages workspace on two sites. Hartwood Enterprises aims to develop an affordable, specifically trained and sustainable workforce that are able to tender for the management and development of local green spaces and school grounds in an environmentally sensitive manner. We also provide gardening for vulnerable people and work based training for NVQ horticulture.
Have Stick Will Travel is a charity set up by Bristol born Daniel Gallimore, who himself lost his sight some years ago after an assault on a Bristol Street. We encourage our members, adults with Learning needs or physical impairment, to focus on their abilities and to undertake work that is stimulating and interesting. Through our activities and occasional outings, we try to ensure that that our members have the same opportunities as everyone else, therefore enjoying social interaction, experiences, challenges and the outdoors.
