Supporting Voluntary and Community Action
Stomping Ground is a Bristol-based theatre company for people of colour, fighting for better representation in the performing arts across the city and beyond. Offering workshops, group trips, and opportunities to network and perform, if you’re a person of colour looking for a way into the performing arts, then Stomping Ground is for you.
Our main activity is a citywide festival in October half-term, celebrating story-telling, books and illustration. Events are interactive, affordable and inspiring. We also have other strands of work we want to develop - working with schools & communities; developing some innovative ideas: creating merchandise to help with income. Focusing on South Bristol this year for our 4th festival.
Studio Upstairs supports creative and personal recovery through arts practice. The Studio, a working arts community, exists to provide artistic resources and therapeutic support to people experiencing mental and emotional distress and to those in drug and alcohol recovery.
