Details of Role:

Are you passionate about social action and working with young people?

We are recruiting a new project worker to deliver youth programmes that meet Integrate UK’s mission (set by its young people) to end violence and abuse against women and girls (VAWG), honour based violence and abuse (HBA), patriarchal interpretations of culture, Islamophobia, racism, extremism and gender stereotyping.  We foster positive relationships between young people from different racial and religious backgrounds and empower them to recognise and challenge negative stereotypes.

Our project workers support young people to improve their prospects and reach their potential by planning, organising and overseeing programmes in 3 or more schools, planning and hosting events and activities at Integrate and through 1-1 support. They facilitate youth-led activities (including workshops, youth board and steering group meetings, media projects and conferences) to support the personal, social and emotional development of young people. We nurture young leaders who will influence community attitudes, change minds and drive policy, attitudinal and societal change.

How to Apply:

To apply, please download the job and person specification first and then complete an application form as well as the equality and diversity monitoring form. Send it to info@integrateuk.org before midnight on Friday 30th August 2024. You can also send an application by post to Office Manager, Integrate UK, Unit 6 Montpelier Central, Station Road, Bristol, BS6 5EE by the same date.

We expect to hold interviews soon after this.

This role is subject to a successful enhanced DBS and Child Barred List check.

We actively encourage applicants who are representative of our beneficiaries’ diverse backgrounds and/or share lived experience with the issues our young people are facing.
