JOB PURPOSE:
This post will be based at Andrew House Therapeutic Community providing support to men who have experienced trauma, working alongside the Community Leader, Volunteer Plus Manager, Counsellor and team of volunteers. The support worker will offer holistic support to residents on their journey towards healing and wholeness, by building supportive relationships which encourage independent living and a positive, sustainable future.

Experience |
Minimum 2 years experience of working within substance misuse, mental health and/or homelessness field Experience of working with external agencies and organisations Experience of working 1:1 with service users Experience of carrying out support planning and risk assessments Experience of successfully managing challenging behaviour |
Relevant qualification (NVQ3 level 3 substance misuse / health & social care) Experience of working in trauma informed environment Lived experience of related issues with minimum 3 years abstinence / 3 years mental health episode free Experience of delivering group work |
