Pulse survey - what we are doing next and how you can help!

7 July, 2023

In March 2023, we launched our inaugural Pulse survey. Your responses painted a concerning picture for the sustainability and vitality of many third sector organisations in Bristol.

Since then, we have presented the results to key stakeholders at the One City Gathering. Earlier this year, we also hosted our Cost of Living and Inequalities Conference, bringing together third sector organisations with local funders. The data you provided empowered us to advocate for the sector to decision-making bodies.

Having presented the results to Mayor Marvin Rees, we are working with the NAVCA Core Cities Group to shape policy at a national level.

Now, we are launching the second iteration of our quarterly survey. Your feedback has made clear to us that volunteering has been a prominent cause for concern among many local third sector organisations. As a result, we are now seeking to more thoroughly understand who may be more vulnerable than others to this challenge.

As before, these data will inform our advocacy moving forwards, as we endeavour to make meaningful change to support the VCSE sector in Bristol. You can contribute towards this work by taking part in the latest Pulse survey by clicking here.
