The role is to conduct the Independent examination of the Accounts of Greenways and Cycleroutes LImited for the year ending 5 April 2025. Say 2 days work in June or July 2025. We are a volunteer run Community Benefit Society, regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and appearing on their Mutuals Public Register as CB7273. Companies House No RS007273. We are recoignised as Charitable by HMRC. 

The business of the Society is to work with local groups to provide walking and cycling routes, including the necessary negotiation and design, and securing of consents, appointment and supervision of contractors, and maintenance of routes using volunteers.

Our turnover in 2024/25 was £590,000, with 350 debits and 60 credits. Our ledger is maintained as a spreadsheet, and all payments are documented in hard copy.

As the charity's gross income in 2023/24 exceeds  £250,000 'the examiner should be satisfied that they have the requisite ability with the necessary skills before undertaking the examination of accounts prepared on the accruals basis. When examining accounts prepared on an accruals basis the examiner should be a member of one of the  accountancy bodies listed and the examiner must be a member of a listed body'

Our previous Independent Examiner who has carried out all our examinations to date on a voluntary basis has recently retired and is therefor no longer a member of one of the relevant bodies. We are keen to support someone who shares our aims and objectives.
