We are looking for a highly motivated IRIS Advocate Educator to liaise closely with GP surgeries, providing training for clinical and non-clinical staff, and offering emotional and practical support to patients who have experienced domestic violence and abuse. This is a great opportunity for a practitioner who is looking to develop their career further.
Key duties and responsibilities of our IRIS Advocate Educator:
• Deliver training to health care professionals about DVA in participating general practices
• Promote awareness of the experiences and needs of patients living with or escaping DVA,
• Develop a good relationship with all general practice staff and work effectively as part of the practice team
• Further develop effective assessment and monitoring procedures and ensure that clear accurate records are kept
• Provide support to patients experiencing DVA referred by primary health care clinicians as well as those who self-refer
• Adhere to Next Link’s safeguarding policy and procedures and report all concerns
• Keep accurate records of all work done with or on behalf of clients and produce written reports as requested
