The Vench Adventure Playground is looking for a new kitchen volunteer to join our Tuesday afterschool club! These are days packed with smiles, community, and delicious food. Part of our mission is to provide nutritious meals to the children that attend our sessions (many on free school meals) and we could not do this without your help!

As a kitchen volunteer you would prepare a meal that you feel comfortable making with the ingredients, we have available from donations and from our allotment.  The number of children that attend our sessions vary as we are open-access, but usually you would be cooking for about 20-30 children and some adults. Past volunteers would begin preparing the meal at 3pm and serve by 5pm. Staff is available to support you with quantities, ingredients, or any other questions. As well as support with the serving and washing up (as do some of the children).

By volunteering at the Vench you could expand your catering skills, meet new people, and we can offer opportunities such as Food Hygiene or other relevant training. Any travel expenses you may have we can reimburse you too.
