About Us: Hope Against Suicide is a dedicated charity focused on providing immediate support, signposting, and advocacy to individuals in crisis. Our mission is to reduce the stigma around mental health and provide a lifeline for those in need. We are expanding our services and are excited to introduce a new face-to-face listening hub in the heart of Broadmead, Bristol. Role Overview: Are you passionate about social media and mental health advocacy? Do you want to use your skills to make a positive impact on the community? As our Social Media Lead, you will play a crucial role in spreading our message, engaging with our audience, and driving awareness of our vital services. This volunteer position offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase your creativity, develop your skills, and be a part of an inspiring movement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a social media strategy to increase engagement, followers, and overall awareness of Hope Against Suicide.
  • Create, curate, and schedule compelling content across all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Monitor and respond to social media interactions, building a supportive and positive online community.
  • Collaborate with the team to promote events, campaigns, and new initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with social media trends and best practices to ensure our content remains fresh and relevant.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with an eye for design and content creation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for mental health advocacy and making a difference in the community.
  • Previous experience in social media management or digital marketing is desirable but not required.
