Crux Climbing is a new Community Interested Company that has been set up to offer people the chance to experience the joys and therapuetic benefits of climbing. Crux has been co-founded by Meg, a Social Worker and therapuetic mentor, and Tom and Youth Worker and public health practitioner - both keen climbers who want to bring the benefits of this special sport to a wider audience.
We are currently recruiting Trustees who would be able to meet for a couple of hours four times a year either online or in person, who would like to support our project with knowledge of accounting, fundraising or business in relation to the charity and non-profit sector.
We have seen the positive changes that have come from widening access to communties who traditionally face barriers to accesing climbing as well as outdoor spaces, and we want to support diversity within the climbing community. We particularly welcome interest from people identifying as women or non-binary, as well as people of colour, as these communities are currently under-represented within the climbing community. However, if you think you have knowledge and expertise and would like to support our work, then we would like to hear from you, whoever you are!
Please contact either Meg (meg@cruxclimbing.co.uk) or Tom (tom@cruxclimbing.co.uk) with an expression of interest and your CV
