Come and join our exceptional staff team at Southmead Adventure Playground (The Ranch).  Our newly renovated, community run centre for youth and adventure play is a special place where connections are made, confidence grows, and children and young people thrive. You will manage the staff team and our youth and play programme.  With excellent opportunities to connect across the Youth and Play network you will be responsible for delivering our existing sessions as well as having the freedom to creatively develop our offer.

Location: Based at the Southmead Adventure Playground (The Ranch) and Greenway Centre, Southmead, Bristol, BS10

Holiday & benefits: On payroll includes 33 days annual leave pro rata (inclusive of Bank Holidays), occupational pension, free membership to Greenway Gym and classes.

About you

  • A 3 years + experience of working with Children and Young People and the legislation and safeguarding responsibilities around this.
  • Experience of managing and leading a team
  • Creative and ideas driven, with experience of planning and delivering a range of community-based youth or play programmes.
  • The flexibility to travel locally and work outside of core office hours
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to relate to and build strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and understanding of individual issues facing young people and ability to draw teams around, and advocate for, young people who would benefit from personalised programmes of support
  • Energetic and outgoing, committed to creating innovative, sustainable and high quality opportunities for Children and Young People.
  • Willingness to champion the values of the Trust: Positivity, Integrity, Excellence, Welcoming and Entrepreneurial.
