The National Emergencies Trust has launched a national appeal for local charities and grassroots organisations that are best placed to respond quickly to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Currently the appeal is raising funds which will be distributed through Community Foundations.

Information about how to apply for the funds raised will be published by Bristol's Community Foundation, Quartet, soon.

Grants of up to £5,000 are available from today to support local activities that are helping communities affected by the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak. Quartet Community Foundation will offer local charitable and community organisations emergency funding to support emerging challenges faced within local communities as a result of the continuing threat of coronavirus.

The Lankelly Chase Foundation has announced the launch of a new Connected Grants Programme to promote and support new conversations about severe and multiple disadvantage within sectors or local areas.

Charities, individuals and partnerships, community groups, networks, statutory organisations and educational institutions can apply for grants of between £1,500 and £3,000 to cover costs incurred in organising and running an activity or event such as venue hire, catering, materials and staff.

The Celebrating Communities Fund from St Monica Trust will help communities in Bristol, BANES, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire come together in 2020.

Up to £250 of funding is available for individuals and unconstituted community groups, and up to £500 is available for registered charities and other community groups.

The Kings Fund and National Lottery Community Fund have partnered to support up to six local areas for up to four years, helping to develop more effective partnerships between voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations and the NHS and local authorities in their area.

Funding is available from This Girl Can, thanks to National Lottery grants, for projects that help remove barriers to exercise for women aged 16+, such as the cost of childcare or a lack of local opportunities. 

VCSE organisations, including charities voluntary clubs, community groups and Community Interest Companies, can apply for up to £10,000 (occasionally larger sums are granted).

The Percy Bilton charity is a grant-making trust. Assistance is given to organisations and individuals in need throughout the U.K.

Charities assisting disadvantaged youth, people with disabilities, people with mental health problems and older people may apply for grants towards furnishings and equipment (excluding office items), building or refurbishment projects.

Trusthouse Foundation have recently revised their criteria. They are now able to offer larger grants for one-off capital projects and ongoing work, under the themes of Urban and Rural deprivation.
