One Bristol Curriculum

A new city-wide curriculum for schools, the One Bristol Curriculum, will be created to highlight Bristol’s BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) history and the achievements of local people from BAME backgrounds. It will also tie into the One City Plan.

Summer Arts 'Creative Flow Camp' for children

We have designed an Art & Nature Summer Camp for children at the Helios Medical Centre.

Our classes will explore different creative mediums such as:

- Wet on wet water-colour paintings

- Make nature inspired sketch books

- Insect craft making

- STEAM activities including LED's and wearable crafts

- Collage & mixed media

- Pastel nature drawing

A new Youth Charter will be developed to set out a vision for young people over the next generation and beyond.

The announcement was made last month by Mims Davies, Minister for Sport and Civil Society.

It is hoped it will help address the recent decline in the number of people taking up youth work training and give youth workers the skills they need to best support young people.

Bristol Safeguarding Boards are changing the way that they are organised and operate, moving from four multi-agency boards to a single partnership board.

The four existing boards include Bristol Safeguarding Adults Board, Bristol Safeguarding Children Board and the Children and Families Partnership.

 

There have been growing levels of awareness of harmful sexual behaviour among children and young people. This conference aims to look at an issue that can be very challenging for professionals and families alike.

Three contracts have been awarded by Bristol City Council to Creative Youth Network in the North, East & Central and South Bristol. These contracts will focus mainly on young people who need support to manage a range of social, health, education and skills needs.
 
Creative Youth Network want to talk to local providers in each area and see how Creative Youth Network can best work together with local providers to provide young people with a cohesive programme of support.
