The course content is as follows:

• Using hand tools safely (secateurs, pruning, saw, knife etc).
• Assessing risk and creating a safe space.
• Tree identification, foraging wild food and using plants for 1^st aid.
• Building safe fires to cook food.
• Building structures, making natural ropes and knot work.
• Woodland craft activities.

The course involves: Walking, digging, kneeling, bending and lifting. Is in variable weather conditions. There are several shelters if weather permits. Ability to work on own or as part of a team. Tool cleaning and maintenance.
