This two-year part-time master’s course has been developed by a multidisciplinary group of clinician trainers. It will:

  • Enable you to become a capable and skilled child, adolescent and family mental health practitioner. 
  • Equip you for a role that has become increasingly needed in the public sector child and adolescent workforce, child and adolescent mental health service sector, schools and other settings. 

Who is this course for?

Applicants with considerable experience and readiness to train psychotherapeutically.

Emotional Care of Babies, Children, Young People & Families (EC1G)

A two-year p/time course to help you develop the skills, understanding and reflective practice in working with babies, children, young people, parents and families.  You will be introduced to key psychoanalytic ideas and how they connect to your real-life observation and experience with children and families.
Suitable for those at the early stages of developing a career in the children's and young people's sector as well as those working in the field who wish to further develop their knowledge and understanding and acquire a formal university accredited qualification.
