Evidence suggests there are five simple steps you can take to improve your mental health and wellbeing. Trying these things could help you feel more positive and able to get the most out of life. Over five weekly lunchtime sessions, the course will outline each of the steps with examples of how you can make small changes quickly and easily to improve your wellbeing.

In light of the importance of mental health in the workplace, particularly during coronavirus, we are offering this as a free course. By booking a place you will have automatically registered for all five parts to the course: Monday 8, 15, 22, 29 June and 6 July. Each session runs from 12:30pm-2pm. We can only accept bookings from those who can commit to all five sessions.

What is this course about?

The course uses the five ways of wellbeing to help you make manageable changes in your life and support your mental health. You can use the advice as an individual, but it also can apply to supporting others.

This course is delivered by Voscur’s associate trainer Rob Wright. Following a varied career in both Education and Social Care as a manager, trainer and lecturer in psychology, Rob is currently a trainer in the field of mental health and wellbeing. Passionate about training in terms of personal development as well as achieving professional goals, Rob is an engaging and dynamic trainer. One of his key skills is making delegates feel comfortable in a training environment, and ensuring that people are able to fully engage and get the best out of the course. On Rob’s courses, boredom is not allowed!!

What will you learn?

At each session we will review how useful you have found the techniques over the previous week and this will also be an opportunity to share ideas.

By the end of the course, you will have a plan to take forward and start to manage your wellbeing in a positive and reflective way.

Who is this course for?

Anyone working or volunteering in the VCSE sector who wants to learn how to ensure they can maintain wellbeing

What else do you need to know?

To take part you will need a laptop with a camera, microphone, and Wi-Fi. You will not require any additional software. You will be emailed an invitation with a link to join the online training prior to the course.

Voscur is running all our training online due to the ongoing public health situation with coronavirus (or COVID-19). This decision was taken in line with local and national health advice, and to safeguard the health of our attendees and staff. We are aware that many VCSE organisations in the city are focusing their efforts on providing and changing their services to respond to communities.
