Looking at the range of responsibilities Board Members have in an organisation and building on the Being a Good Board member session, this course focusses beyond legal obligations and into best practice. Topics include resolving conflicts and working strategically.

What is this course about?

This course is about how to extend your skills and knowledge to work more effectively and to lead the delivery of best practice across your organisation

What will you learn?

1.    Review the roles and responsibilities of board members
2.    Analyse the strategic role of the board and areas and arguments for going beyond legal obligation
3.    identify areas for improvement
4.    Identify ways to find solutions and overcome conflict and blocks to development

Who is the course for?

Trustees, having attended Being a Good Board Member and/or gained some experience.

What else do you need to know?
The type of constitution your organisation has and its legal identity e.g. Ltd company, Trust, CIC.
