FFA is a charity which aims to promote community engagement, awareness and relief of food poverty in Bristol, through local networking and the collection of food and other vital supplies for distribution to community partners working with families and children in poverty and in need.
We fight food poverty by tackling food waste. We save perfectly good surplus food destined for waste and redistribute it to local Charities and community groups who transform it into nutritious meals for vulnerable people. We actively promote our key message to the food industry and general public – ‘No good food should be wasted’. Felix Road Adventure Playground provides children between the age of five and sixteen with the opportunity to play in a safe environment. The playground is free and open to all. Filwood Hope is an Advice Centre which offers a wide range of advice, support, expertise and counselling to the people of Knowle West and South Bristol.
