Girlguiding Bristol South Gloucester provides girls from age 5 up with the opportunity to pursue new challenges, make new friends and discover new skills and abilities they didn't know they had, by encouraging decision making and team work. All our weekly sessions for girls are run by local volunteers. Volunteers also handle our recruitment and the set up of new units and therefore new places for more girls.
Glenside Hospital Museum houses collections relating to the history of Bristol Psychiatric and Learning Disability Hospitals.
The Museum, set within the grounds of the building which opened in 1861 as The Bristol Lunatic Asylum, tells the 130 year story of a psychiatric hospital. We organise a community event called the Goram Fair - we will train local residents to become marshalls and stewards
We provide an Air Ambulance service for the people of Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire and surrounding areas. Our Critical Care teams respond by helicopter or car, bringing our specialist skills and equipment to the people who need us most.
