Local Friends is a scheme to support people in the community and reduce the workload of GPs through volunteers from local churches and other faith groups providing human contact, conversation, listening and maybe some basic practical support.

A partnership project between Ashton Park School, the Bristol Buildings Preservation Trust and Bristol City Council to restore the derelict Lower Lodge to Ashton Court Estate and to provide a gateway to discovering the past through various interpretation at the Lodge and a virtual gateway via a website. The project focuses on the South Bristol Community primarily.
LIMP is a voluntary community group made up of local residents; it aims to re-energise, care for and improve the green space that is known as Luckwell park. A small group of Trustees meet fortnightly and are working hard to drive through the first stage of improvements to the play area and boundaries of the space. There is a 3-year plan in development.
