Artists First is a nationally recognised group of/for experienced Disabled artists with learning difficulties. We meet weekly to make art and develop our artistic/studio practises. We exhibit locally, regionally and nationally and have recently been awarded funding to archive and celebration our 25+ years our existence.
Arts and Health South West is a free membership based organisation launched in June 2006 that aims to: provide information and support for those working in the Arts and Health sector in the region, encourage partnerships between health and arts professionals, support the professional development of people working in the sector and raise the profile of the arts and health sector.
We promote Arts and Artists to help increase awareness of them and their work.
Ashley Down After School Club is a not-for-profit organisation providing affordable, quality child care for children aged 4 to 11. We run every evening after school from 3:15pm to 5:45pm, collecting children from the Ashley Down Infant and Primary Schools at Downend Road and Brunel Field. The Luncheon Club is run by Volunteers, we meet on Thursdays at 12.30 at St. Francis Community Hall. We provide a 2 course cooked lunch with a cup of tea at the current price of £3.50. The service provides an average 50 lunches each week and has been running for 31 years.
