The role of funding organisations in unlocking the power of young trustees

Date/Time:
Thursday, 29 April, 2021 - 12:00 to 13:00
Location:
Online
Cost:
Free
Organised/hosted by:
Young Trustees Movement

This one-hour webinar shows why board diversity should be a priority for funding organisations and foundations in 2021, and the value young trustees can bring to an organisation, such as making an organisation more relevant. It will also explore the risk of nothing changing if your board does not add young trustees to the mix.

Only a small percentage of trustees are aged under 30, and the Young Trustees Movement wants to change this. By attending this webinar, you have the chance to meet younger trustees who will share their experience of being on a board and contributing to an organisation. You can also ask questions.

Speakers include:

  • Segun Olowookere: Trustee of Blagrave Trust and Finance Director of Restless Development.
  • Afshan T D'Souza-Lodhi: Trustee of Pie Radio and Manchester Literature Festival; North West Ambassador for Young Trustees Movement; committee member of the Northern Police Monitoring Project; Literature Programmer for the British Council.
  • Angus Roy: Charity & Care Niche Director of Ecclesiastical Insurance Group.
  • Leonora Rae: Trustee of Bridging Arts and St Andrew's Society; Business Development Manager of EdenTree.
