Come and meet the magristrates at Bristol Civil Justice Centre's open day, and find out about becoming a Family Court magistrate to help local children.

There are currently vacancies for magistrates across Avon, Somerset and Gloucestershire. Magistrates are volunteers who serve the community either in a family court setting or a criminal court setting. You do not need formal qualifications or legal training to become a magistrate, but you will be trained in the role.

To be eligible as a magistrate, you must meet the criteria explained here. The open day is the perfect opportunity to meet real-life magistrates and find out about this important voluntary position.
