Funding for charities supporting families in difficulty

Father and child
23 January, 2020

Applications are open for the next round of funding from the Kelly Family Charitable Trust, which provides grants of £1,000-5,000 (though higher amounts will be considered) to charitable organisations helping families in difficult times. The aim of the funding is to reinforce the family unit.

Funding can be put towards core costs or projects.

Examples of charity causes funded:

  • Supporting families experiencing abuse and social exclusion.
  • Emotional and practical support for prisoners' families.
  • Children who have experienced trauma, abuse or neglect, and involving the carers or siblings around them to help drive change.
  • Befriending projects for families under stress.

Non-registered charities are not eligible, nor are charities with a religious or political agenda, or those with a national focus (the focus should be local or regional). Ideally, charities will have an income of less than £500,000.

Applications close on Sunday 1 March 2020. Click here for more details and to apply.
