Join us to celebrate the launch of Period Friendly Bristol.

At January 2019’s City Gathering, ‘Ending period poverty’ was identified as one of the top three priority projects for the One City Approach to address in 2019. Following this, the city pledged to take a leading role in eradicating period poverty by making period products available to all who need them, while also combating outdated societal attitudes to menstruation.

Lead by Cllr Helen Godwin, Bristol’s Cabinet Lead for Women, Children and Families and the City Office, the Period Friendly Bristol project aims to eradicate period poverty and make Bristol a city of period dignity, in which nobody is held back in life or stigmatised against simply for having a period.

Join us at this event to celebrate Bristol’s innovative and truly collaborative approach to addressing period poverty and period stigma, which we hope will set a pioneering example for other cities across the world to follow. Importantly, the event will also set out Period Friendly Bristol’s future direction of travel.

We hope you can join us on this journey.
