Is your group trading or interested in developing your income in this way?

If so, Voscur and Black South West Network (BSWN) would like to invite you to help us secure a share of a new £33million investment over ten years to invest and develop charities’ and social enterprises' trading activities.  This event will help shape Bristol’s proposal to secure Local Access Programme funding for groups. Ultimately, this will help to make Bristol a city where every community can realise its own ambitions by creating the social impact it wants.

What is the Local Access Programme?
Local Access is a joint funding programme from Big Society Capital and the Access Foundation. Bristol is one of twelve areas that can bid for new investment in a combination of enterprise development support and social finance for charities and social enterprises.

The programme’s ambition is “to demonstrate how a combination of enterprise support and blended social investment, deployed in a holistic and targeted way for up to ten years can help to achieve a step change in a local social economy and the achievement of social impact.”

Is it for my organisation?
We hope so, but it’s not going to be the best option for everyone. Local Access isn’t another grant programme to help organisations work more commercially. It’s for organisations that are clear that trading activity (by which we mean selling products/service to generate funds for charitable purpose) could be part of their future.

How to book:

Click here to book your place.

Please note on the booking you be asked to select a category that relates to your group:

A) Charities or not-for-profit organisations that want to explore trading to generate funds to fulfil their charitable purpose;

B) Early stage social enterprises and/or charities with well-developed trading business plans or with 1-2 years of successful trading history;

C) Organisations with a strong track record of generating income from trading that want to explore the potential of social investment for the first time;

D) Enterprises that have already secured some form of social investment or blended finance and want to explore further opportunities.
