VCSE Infrastructure Support: Events, survey and consultation with Bristol City Council

Engagement events VCSE Infrastructure Support
17 July, 2019

Bristol City Council's funding of the city's voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector, known as VCSE Infrastructure Support, is being reviewed over an eight-week consultation period.

The review includes running several engagement events, where VCSE organisations are invited to share their views and describe their needs, to ensure funding is as appropriate as possible. VCSE Infrastructure Support is currently delivered by Voscur.

It's clear that the VCSE sector helps address disadvantage and inequality in Bristol, whilst strengthening the voice and influence of different communities and individuals. However, to maximise the potential of this funding, it's important to hear from the VCSE organisations themselves.

These engagement events were held between Monday 22 - Monday 29 July 2019; further events are planned to focus on equalities-led organisations.

An online survey has been added to the Bristol City Council consultation hub - please complete the survey by Sunday 15 September 2019.

The overall approach will then be decided by Cabinet in December 2019, informed by the views shared at these events and on the survey, so don't miss your chance to speak out and help shape local funding for the sector.

Please email any questions about VCSE Infrastructure Support to investmentandgrants@bristol.gov.uk.
