How to get advice

Got a question that you are struggling to find an answer to?

Our experienced, friendly team provide support, advice and guidance for eligible local groups to help them work more effectively and create more impact for local people.

You can find the answer to many questions directly on this site. We also offer various ways of contacting Voscur staff, other local organisations and peer networks to get the support and advice you're looking for - as you'll see below.

Community drop-in sessions

Our VCSE Development Advisor (Outreach), Rachel Varley, holds face to face community drop-in sessions in priority areas across the city. Come and talk to her about what help and advice you need to develop your charity, social enterprise or community group. She can provide information about funding, training and governance for your organisation and useful links to help you and your team progress. See our events calendar for upcoming sessions or contact Rachel at rachel.v@voscur.org to arrange a session in your area/centre.

City Funds pro bono service

The City Funds pro bono service directly connects Bristol’s business community and skilled volunteers with the city’s voluntary sector organisations to share skills, resources and develop mutually beneficial relationships. To find out more, contact the City Funds Pro Bono Co-ordinator: John Stienlet or see the City Funds website.
