The Bristol Disability Equality Forum (BDEF) is a well-respected community organisation run by and for Disabled people. We have operated in Bristol and the surrounding area for over twenty years. We have a proven track record in reflecting and representing the views of Disabled people to policy-makers and decision-takers, and enabling and empowering Disabled people to build their communities and represent themselves. We are wholly managed and staffed by Disabled people.
BDEF is emerging from a period of transition following the departure of our long-term Director in 2023. We have a new Board of experienced and enthusiastic trustees who are committed to guiding the organisation through its change to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, and to securing funding for its long-term stability.
We have two vacancies for Disabled people to be part of shaping and leading this well-established organisation on to a new and exciting future.

You will need to be used to setting up and evaluating different projects and inclusive activities, and be able to communicate in an accessible and inclusive way with a wide range of people.
This role is office based but hybrid working may be available if required.
