Julian Trust Night Shelter provides essential services (hot food, showers, clothing etc) to homeless and vulnerable people in the Bristol area. The night shelter also provides bed spaces to 12 individuals who are referred via St Mungo's. The shelter is run by volunteers and duties overnight may include doing guest laundry, supervising the shelter, preparing basic breakfast items in the morning etc. There is usually an opportunity to sleep for a few hours and volunteers will spend most of the night in the volunteers break room. No experience is required but you must be non-judgmental, friendly and willing to work as part of a team - training is provided and you will have fellow volunteers and supervisors to support you.
There is an induction session on Friday 20th September at 6.30pm at the Night Shelter in St Pauls, Bristol. Come along for a tour and to find out more about volunteering!
