In partnership with Southern Brooks, our Welcome Home project supports older people who have recently been discharged from hospital but need a little help settling back in at home. Volunteers can help with every day tasks such as light duties around the home, support with cooking, collecting prescriptions, shopping etc. 

Volunteers provide companionship and encouragement to live independently in the home. 

What you will get out of it:

You will be making a real difference in the lives of older people.

You will join an enthusiastic team of Age UK South Gloucestershire staff and volunteers.

You will be helping improve the health of older people, which has a positive impact on the wider community

The hours are flexible around your existing commitments - no experience is necessary as we will provide induction, training and ongoing support. All volunteers require a DBS check and references.
