People Power Project
Join us for a day of celebration around social action, with discussion and multimedia stories about power! This celebratory free event will happen Saturday 25th March 12 – 5pm, in the Main Hall at City Hall. FB Event: https://www.facebook.com/events/747047633329243
The People Power Project is about highlighting and sharing stories that are often unheard, to inspire individuals and communities to take social action. A planning group of Bristol residents co-designed this project and shaped the event in collaboration with Bristol City Council.
At the event we will share the inspiring multimedia stories and have discussions about our own agency and power, whilst connecting with each other. This will happen ‘cinema style’ to watch videos (subtitles included) so it is possible to dip in and out during the day. There will be a community drawing project, children’s activities and a Polish art installation during the day, as well as food and refreshments, a prayer room and a quiet room. Wheelchair accessible.

This event is free. It will run from 12 to 5 with films being screened throughout the day. There will also be activities for children and text stories to read.
