Have your say: dormant asset consultation

www.gov.uk
13 September, 2022

£738 million has been unlocked for good causes in England by the expansion of the Dormant Assets Scheme, following the passing of the Dormant Assets Act 2022. Your input is now sought to a government consultation on how best to use these funds to deliver the greatest impact.

The consultation will inform what broad social and/or environmental causes should be prescribed in future secondary legislation. It invites specific views on four causes – youth, financial inclusion, social investment, and community wealth funds – and welcomes suggestions for any other social or environmental causes that the government should consider.

The views of local communities, civil society organisations and potential participants are particularly welcome.

Before completing the consultation, you can read this guide which talks you through the process.

When you are ready to do so, you can offer your views to the government consultation here.
