Aid Support Volunteer
Can you donate a few hours to support vulnerable people in the event that the Trust faces staffing difficulties due to the current health crisis?
Milestones Trust is a health and social care charity supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and dementia. The Trust provides residential, nursing and community support services to around 750 people living in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset areas – so there is a good chance there is a service in walking/cycling distance from you!
You would be involved in basic tasks supporting individuals with everyday needs and activities in our care homes/supported living houses, or might be asked to do shopping or picking up prescriptions, etc.
We are looking for people who have some skills or are willing to learn new skills as we provide training for volunteers.
We are looking for volunteers who are:
No other particular skills are required but good communication, confidence and a desire to help people would be a great advantage.
We would provide the necessary training to make sure you are confident and safe carrying out this task. Regular supervision is also available for the volunteer.
Please note, due to the nature of the group of the people we support, a DBS check and reference checks will be carried out.
