Cancer changes everything – for the person diagnosed and for those that know and love them.

Penny Brohn UK has been successfully supporting people with cancer for over 35 years, with our pioneering Bristol Whole Life Approach. We empower people to live well with cancer and take back control of their health and wellbeing by better managing the emotional, psychological, physical and social aspect of cancer on their lives. https://www.pennybrohn.org.uk/

Walk the Walk are a breast cancer charity, raising money through power walking challenges including midnight MoonWalk Marathons in London, Scotland & Iceland. They continue to be the major funder of Penny Brohn UK so volunteering at the event is a fantastic way for us to say thank you to the team.

What will I be doing?

Event Volunteering with Walk the Walk is a fun, rewarding and memorable experience. You will be part of the Saturday evening crew, selling merchandise, applying temporary tattoos, or handing out balloons as the walkers arrive en-masse in the giant pink tent, with its high energy, party atmosphere, entertainment and warm ups.

How much time do I need to commit?

The MoonWalk starts from Clapham Common on the evening of the 16th May. We will carry out our volunteer duties in the giant event tent between 6pm and midnight. You can meet us at the event or transport is provided from Bristol.

What skills do I need?

  • Adaptable and flexible approach to the role
  • Reliable
  • Able to stand for long periods
  • Working as a member of a team.

You will be volunteering, not walking
