If you answered "yes" to these questions, we want you to join our team at Headway Bristol! We’re seeking dynamic individuals to support our outreach and centre services across Bristol, South Gloucestershire, and North Somerset.

We are currently recruiting for both full-time and part-time positions, offering between 28 to 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting adults with an acquired brain injuries in developing their social and cognitive skills, leading them toward greater independence.
  • Supporting our adult service users in their homes or within the community as part of our outreach service.
  • Planning and leading one-on-one or group activities tailored to individual need.
  • Provision of some very basic personal care within our centre as needed.
  • Researching and organising activities in line with person-centred care plans
  • Helping individuals regain confidence, learn new skills, and redevelop old skills.
  • Engaging in charity activities, including fundraising events.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Ideally, candidates should have an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Health Care or an equivalent qualification/experience in social care; however, full training will be provided.
  • A full driving license and access to a car are essential; minibus driving training will be offered.
  • Demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm, flexibility, and the ability to work independently.
  • An understanding of the sensory, cognitive, and physical challenges faced by individuals with brain injuries or related conditions (e.g., stroke, dementia, mental health) is desirable.
  • Basic IT skills.
