Mentoring in Bristol
Our mission as a charity is to provide local support that can break cycles of disadvantage and open up new opportunities for young people. We believe in the talent of every young person, and do not limit our support to those young people who have been labelled ‘bright’ or ‘gifted’. We believe that, with support, every young person can progress to an excellent post-school destination and we are committed to helping them on this journey.
We match IntoUniversity students with volunteer mentors, who act as positive role models and provide opportunities for the mentees to develop their social skills, explore future options and improve academic attainment. Young people benefit from regular one-to-one support from a role model who can offer invaluable advice and guidance.
Corporate Mentors would work exclusively with Year 13 students who are hoping to go on to university. The scheme runs through year 13 and into their first term of university, meetings take place monthly.
