Post: Customer Service Assistant [Part-time]

Job Purpose: To provide a scooter/wheelchair loan service to enable people with access or mobility problems to use the shops and facilities. To assist with the overall organisation and day to day running of the Bristol Shopmobility Scheme.
This job is a “front line” position dealing with service users both face to face and over the phone.
Principal Responsibilities
Daily Duties
1. To meet and greet service users.
2. To establish and provide suitable equipment.
3. To receive and process cash/card payments and balance daily monetary transactions.
4. Give guidance on the safe usage of equipment to service users.
5. Maintain equipment in a safe, clean and serviceable condition.
6. Maintain and update computer records.

1. To ensure that any repairs are dealt with promptly by a competent person.
2. To be able to deliver/collect scooters and wheelchairs required by members arriving within the Broadmead/Cabot Circus area.
General
Hours and Holidays
21 hours per week (subject to funding)
23 days holiday per annum (pro-rata) + statutory holidays
Main Location
Shopmobility Unit– Cabot Circus Car Park.
Remuneration
£11.44 per hour
This is a permanent post (subject to funding)
The post is subject to a 6 month probationary period.
