Are you excited about supporting people in the community to experience the benefits of cycling? Do you know a thing or two about bikes and want to be part of delivering and developing our cycling scheme to provide an accessible and inclusive service for all?

We are looking for a creative Service Coordinator ready to take the lead in moving our Community Project at Warmley Wheelers onto the next chapter. Warmley Wheelers is a Bike Project which offers specialist equipment and a safe, friendly environment so that people with Learning Difficulties, Health Conditions and/or additional needs can experience the joy of cycling. It has a fleet of 23 adapted and ten solo bikes - these include battery-assisted bikes, bikes with platforms for wheelchairs, recumbent bikes and a variety of trikes. Warmley Wheelers is a unique Community Project which is fully inclusive and extremely well supported.

Based on site at Warmley Café & Tea Garden, the project is adjacent to the Bristol & Bath Railway Path with direct access to licenced trails. With a fully trained & committed team of 12 Volunteers, you will facilitate accompanied rides to Warmley Wheelers users and carers on the railway path and in Warmley Forest Park.

Your working days will be Tuesday to Friday every week and include alternate Saturday mornings.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be able to inspire and lead a team of 12 volunteers, demonstrating excellent people-management skills together with enthusiasm and dedication.
  • Be passionate about cycling and have the knowledge and the ability to carry out basic repairs of bicycles.
  • Be an excellent communicator, when dealing with the public, service users and their carers, as well as with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Be creative and resourceful in your approach.
  • Be an excellent organiser, able to juggle competing priorities.
  • Be proficient in IT and able to learn and use different software and systems commissioned by Milestones Trust for communicating and managing bookings.

Here at Milestones Trust, we recognise that without the hard work, commitment, and passion of our staff, we wouldn’t be the charity we are today. That’s why we are committed to rewarding you with a competitive pay and benefits package including:

  • 34 days Annual Leave Entitlement (pro rata for part time)
  • Get paid when you want – Access your money as you earn it and request your earnings before payday using Dayforce Wallet.
  • Access to an Employee Discount Platform from Day 1, with discounts and cash back for hundreds of retailers.
  • Company Pension
  • Generous Occupational Maternity/Paternity pay
  • Learning and development opportunities for you to build your career
  • Health Cash Plan on completion of probation giving you access to a minimum of £695 cash back for health treatments e.g. Dental, Therapies, Optical, Maternity/Paternity, NHS Prescriptions etc.

We pride ourselves with being able to offer staff opportunities to develop and progress their careers within the Trust.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
