The project:
SLEEC (Survivors Leading Essential Education & Change) are looking for volunteer drivers for our current projects supporting survivors of domestic abuse, sexual abuse, gender based violence, within Bristol, South Glocestershire and BANES. This will be on an adhoc basis when requests come in from survivors; providing lifts to safe places, delivering emergency essential items/packs and collecting items for survivors. Some lifts could be further afield.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking to get a bank of drivers with varying availability and flexibility as the requests can come in any day/time. Please note, there is no expectation to provide any emotional support or other type of support within this work.
Petrol expenses will be reimbursed. We will be holding a training sessions for all drivers to attend.
Full driver licence required and own vehicle. Proof of tax, mot and insurance will need to be provided.
Current DBS check required.
