Details of Role:

We're thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for someone dedicated to mental health and suicide prevention to join our team at Hope Against Suicide.

As our Fundraising Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding our impact in 2024. Working closely with our Charity Director, you'll help shape and execute our fundraising strategy, directly contributing to our mission of reducing deaths by suicide and supporting those facing mental health challenges in our communities.

Your responsibilities will include raising awareness and funds to ensure more individuals can access our essential services. Building strong relationships with local communities, businesses, and individuals will be a key part of your role, inspiring them to support our cause.

We’re seeking an ideal candidate who is a creative and adaptable thinker, with strong communication skills.  While practical knowledge of digital/social media is desirable, it is not essential. Essential qualities include understanding the unique challenges faced by small to medium UK charities and demonstrating compassion towards individuals experiencing distress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Submitting high-quality bid applications efficiently and meeting application deadlines.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all grant applications, including their outcomes.
  • Communicating effectively with the Charity Director and Board of Trustees and providing timely updates.
  • Supporting the achievement of the charity's objectives through proactive engagement.
  • Participating in training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Having fun, thinking big, and embracing innovation to create meaningful impact!

If you're ready to make a difference and develop your fundraising skills, we invite you to join us in our mission to bring hope and support to those struggling with mental health issues.
