Digital Communications Officer, Stepladder
Second Step is looking to recruit a talented, motivated and experienced Digital Communications Officer to join our friendly, fast-paced team on a fixed-term basis.
As a leading mental health charity in the South-West, Second Step has over 300 skilled staff who work with more than 7800 clients across 25 services. We pride ourselves on supporting people with mental health difficulties to find new ways to change their lives. We’re well known in the region for the positive work we do.
We’re looking for a communications professional to provide first class digital content for our high priority Stepladder project in Somerset which is focused on men’s mental health.
About the role
You will be delivering on three key communications objectives to:
Create and develop a communications plan for our innovative men’s mental health project, Stepladder
Support the project’s community development goals to help individuals and organisations to build connections and networks for men across the county
Tell engaging stories to raise awareness of Stepladder, the work it does including distributing grants via the Winston Innovation Fund to encourage new and inspiring groups and activities.
As an organisation which values flexibility you will be able to work from home as well as in our central Bristol office and our offices in Somerset.
About you
We’re keen to find someone who has oodles of experience as a digital and web content specialist and who:
Builds strong relationships & delivers successful communications strategies
Creates engaging multi-media content including video for all our digital channels
Knows how to produce a steady stream of positive stories to raise awareness of men’s mental health
Has experience of engaging diverse communities and audiences in awareness-raising campaigns
