Diverse UK Finance Trustee

Diverse UK is a small charity that exists to create an autistic and neurodiverse community across the south west of England. The charity is run for and by autistic neurodiverse people and provides social activities locally in the wider Bristol region as well as sensory calm spaces at national events and festivals.

We have funding through National Lottery (£150k over three years) and a few small grants (1-5k). We spend about 40k a year and will hope to receive more funding in 2025. We also make a small amount each year providing autism services to music festivals and other events.

Main tasks

To attend online quarterly finance Trustee meetings (online usually; 60 - 90 mins)

To attend other meetings as required with Chair of Trustees online (iro 4 /year)

To offer information on business elements of charity work 

To produce The Trustees Annual Report (usually under 500 words) for the Charity Commission

To produce the Charity Commission Receipts and Payments accounts for each financial year (Diverse works from 1^st January to 31 Dec)

To liaise with the Independent Examiner to ensure we have their Annual report on the accounts produced for the Charity Commission.
