Samar Dowidar will join us from Cairo, Egypt to display a Family Oral History exhibition of the letters of her Palestinian grandfather Ali Rasheed Shaath (1908-1967).

 “Palestinian Stories“ is a project that aims to preserve, archive and publish the letters and the documents that belong to Ali Rasheed Shaath to keep the memory of him and his beloved homeland alive through his own words.

The exhibition will include:

·         Original documents and letters from the period 1925 – 1946.

·         A family photo album (1930 – 1950).

The South Bristol Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair 2020 takes place from 11am til 3pm on Thursday 27 February at the South Bristol Skills Academy in Hengrove, Bristol. It will bring together employers, training providers and apprenticeships organisations with job-seekers and school leavers.

Exhibitors include the college and council as well as employers, such as the NHS, Avon Fire and Rescue Service and Bristol Port Company. There will also be representatives from organisations supporting people into employment, such as the National Careers Service.

A free event run as a collaboration between Self Injury Support and Self Injury Self Help for anyone interested in raising awareness and breaking the stigma surrounding self-injury. This afternoon aims to provoke discussion, provide learning opportunities and connect individuals and organisations who want to gain clarity about the hidden issues surrounding self-harm.
