In a changing landscape if you want your organisation to innovate, you must take risks. How do you encourage risk taking while still looking out for the security of your organisation? This course looks at how to try to balance these ideas to sustain your organisation and to meet your mission


What is the course about?

This course is about understanding how to balance risk and innovaton to ensure that your organsation can adapt to new circumstances and those of its beneficiaries within a complex landscape for the VCSE sector

What will you learn?

  1. An overview of the landscape for innovation in VCSE and the risks involved
  2. Analysis of your organsation’s approach to risk and change
  3. Identifying motivators for change and looking at how to approach innovation
  4. Leading innovation and managing the risks – identifying, categorising and mitigating risks and testing innovation (prototyping and scaling up)

Who is this course for: Managers, co-ordinators and trustees who want to develop their skills and understanding of this difficult area
