South West ICT Champion

The ICT Hub have appointed Devon based Cosmic as the regional champion for the South West -

The role of the appointee is:

· To be a champion for ICT in supporting front-line voluntary and community organisations to understand and be signposted to the range of practical ICT resources available in their region or at a national level enabling them to better achieve their mission to deliver quality services more effectively.

· To map out service providers and then by co-ordination share best practice to enable existing infrastructure organisations to become more sustainable.

· To work alongside infrastructure organisations in delivering sub-regional workshops and other ICT awareness raising initiatives to small grassroots organisations

The key aim being that through a better connected and resourced network of ICT providers and through awareness raising workshops in all regions there will be a uniform level of ICT co-ordination and championing to address the needs of voluntary sector groups.
